Linah Farms 

Brief and Challenge
Linah Farms is a family owned farm in Egypt’s Bahareya Oasis, specializing in superior, export quality Mejdool dates.
Founded as part of a desert reclamation project, the once arid land now not only produces Mejdool, but also moringa leaves, mangoes, honey, medicinal herbs and more, depending on the season.

We were commissioned by Linah Farms to help them revamp their packaging & introduce new SKUs to their current offerings as well as providing a redesign proposal for their logo.

Process & Results
The challenge of Linah Farms project was not only in the design, but the tight timeframe of the project. So, we decided to work in parallel. 
Feras Shaker went on designing different logo concepts, Mostafa AbdelDayem provided the Arabic logotype & Hussein Allam went on designing the packaging, or what we call (The Brand DNA).

Logo Design
Linah’s Farms old logo didn’t have any technical problems except that it looked somehow generic. We wanted Linah Farms’s logo redesign to look the way Linah Farms looked & stood for in 2022. Modern, Generous & Unique.

Packaging
During research, what captured our attention about Linah Farms’ was their unique story & how they are a family that really loved their business and what they do everyday. it’s just as they say “From Linah Farms with Love”.
We decided that this story should be told in a lovely way, every time, every pack.
So, We went on with what we called “The Brand DNA”. We introduced a packaging design that’s about telling the story of Linah Farms and how they take care of the details. This design applies to all of Linah’s Packs, but the details changes in every pack.

Classic Medjool
The Classic Medjool line is the most premium line. It offers the most superior Medjool dates, each date picked one by one, by hand. It also counts for most of the company’s exports.

We wanted the Classic Medjool line to look premium & precious. A precious gift from Linah Farms. We went with Linah’s main green colors with an royal accent of gold color & texture. The Classic Medjool is Linah’s finest.

Gazelle
Gazelle Line is one of Linah’s unique offerings, it embraces the flaws of less superior Medjool dates in a creative way inspired from a local saying ‘القرد في عين أمه غزال”. 
Instead of just having the local saying on one of the package sides, we said it in Linah’s way by designing the Gazelle illustrations & colors in a magical purple theme that’s applied in the brand’s DNA style.

Golden Crown
Golden Crown is Linah’s newest line. The idea behind Golden Crown was the way some of the Medjool dates looked (golden top).
Instead of going with a traditional way of designing a package with the word (golden) in it and making it look royal, we went on with a popping  direction. A direction that makes the Golden Crown beautiful & appealing through warm color palette & gritty texture. It’s a Gritty Golden Crown.

Ramadan Special Edition
For Ramadan, we went on with illustration based design that reflects Linah Farms Generosity & Egypt’s memorable Ramadan Spirit.
We wanted Linah Farms Ramadan special edition to look truly special, in everything.
